Ratatouille the Musical meets Coloring Broadway with Musicals, Mindfulness and Coloring.  We fully agree with Chef Gusteau's philosophy that Anyone Can Cook!  Or in our case, Anyone Can Color!  You know we like finding the lessons and themes that each musical has to share - and there are so many that Ratatouille has for everyone:

  • Take chances - "Anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great."
  • Choose what you consume - "I only want to eat the good stuff"
  • Choose what you focus on - "If you focus on what you’ve left behind, you’ll never be able to see what lies ahead"
  • You are capable of anything - "Anyone Can Cook"
  • Gain perspective - "I've been in Paris the whole time"
  • Choose what you will do - “Change is nature, Dad. The part that we can influence. And it starts when we decide.”
  • Creativity is in our nature - “[Humans] don’t just survive; they discover; they create. … I mean, just look at what they do with food!
  • Change is up to us - "Change is nature, Dad. The part that we can influence. And it starts when we decide.”

Instructions:

Step 1: CHOOSE a theme to think about as you color.  Use the list of themes above or choose something else that you were inspired by in Ratatouille the Musical.  Since the musical is premiering on January 1, 2021, think about how you can infuse the new year with this theme?  How will you channel this message in how you show up for 2021?

Step 2: Download. Print. And Color! We suggest printing on thick paper (cardstock if you’ve got it), using Sharpie markers (our favorites), and listening to or watching Ratatouille the musical while you color.

Step 3: Grab your favorite journal and Answer these questions:

  • What is one thing you will do in 2021 to embody the theme you chose?
  • What is one thing Ratatouille the Musical inspired you to do in 2021?

Step 4:  Post and tag!  We love to see what everyone creates and to hear what resonated with you!  Part of the fun of coloring to see how different each creation is.  If you feel comfortable, share your creative genius with us and the world. @ColoringBroadway on IG/Tiktok/FB #CreativityIsTheCure | #ColoringBroadway | #MusicallyMindfulMoments

I firmly believe that #CreativityIsTheCure and that constraints (like the ones that we are faced with now) breed creativity.  Whether you use markers, colored pencils, gel pens, or a combination of all of them, I’m excited to see what each of you create.
